Abstract
Although. over the last few years there has been much effort devoted to
introducing problem solving and modelling into our teaching of mathematics,
up to' now there has been little progress on this at the tertiary level. At this
level there appears to be just too many problems to overcome and little
research has been undertaken. In this paper reasonably efficient problem
solving guided approach that addresses some of the issues is proposed and
some accompanying resource material presented.
