MERGA invites you to join our community (or renew your membership) of educators and researchers interested in improving the conditions and opportunities to learn mathematics.

Why Join?
Membership benefits include:
- Access to the Mathematics Education Research Journal, published by Springer
- A member registration rate to attend our annual conference
- Access to member-only career development events
- Eligibility to apply for awards and financial support to attend events
- Access to a Member Directory where you can find colleagues who share your professional interests
- Membership is valid for 12 months, from January 1 to December 31. Only one person gains the benefits of this membership. We do not offer an institutional / organisational membership. We no longer offer library subscriptions.
Types of Membership
Academics & Educators:
The fee for timely renewal before January 31 is $150. After this date, the membership fee is $165 (for individuals employed more than 0.5FTE)
Student Members/Part-time Academics & Educators:
The fee for timely renewal before January 31 is $75. After this date, the membership fee is $82.50 (for students and those employed less than 0.5FTE)
Retired Members:
The fee for timely renewal before January 31 is $75. After this date, the membership fee is $82.50 (for retired community members)
Developing Country Members:
The fee for timely renewal before January 31 is $75. After this date, the membership fee is $82.50 (for those who are citizens of, and permanently living in, a developing country)
Life Membership
The award of Life Membership recognises long association with, and service to, the MERGA community; leadership and innovation within the MERGA community; a contribution to raising the profile of MERGA and enhancing its standing nationally and internationally.
