Abstract
This paper is part of a broader mixed-methods study exploring how a literature-informed mathematical resilience intervention impacts mathematical resilience and mathematics anxiety in Year 5 and 6 Australian students. This paper details the creation of a five session, whole-class mathematical resilience intervention for upper primary students. The intervention was developed through a synthesis of mathematical resilience literature, focusing on building students’ knowledge and skills related to the four constructs of mathematical resilience described by Johnston-Wilder and Lee (2024): growth mindset, struggle, value and support.
