Abstract
Northern Territory secondary teachers' awareness of curriculum change in
mathematics and their thoughts on its impact upon teaching and learning are
reported. A survey followed by semi-structured, in-depth interviews were
used for data collection and analysis was done inductively. Teachers were
aware of a number of changes and expressed many concerns about their
impact, especially in relation to appropriate in-service opportunities.
Discussion of findings in relation to geographical, educational and cultural
features of the NT is included.
